Catch me in a maxi, tunic or tee shirt dress – lovely, light &  loose all summer 17. My love for ethical fashion brands is evolving into a shopping preference. This week I stumbled upon mindfully chic, Symbology Clothing. The ethical luxury line fuses artisan textiles & signature designs into whimsical handmade apparel.

I spent some time on the about page, where I fell in love with the brand’s purpose & practices.”Symbology employs women artisans from India and the West Bank, each bringing beautiful cultural art forms to our collections. Symbology aims not only to produce beautiful clothing but also to preserve traditional art forms in each garment — from Indian block printing to Palestinian weaving and Native American embroidery.”

Seriously this brand is so dope. With a goal of making fair trade sexy brand founder Marissa Heyl is intentionally redefining ethical fashion and I’m obsessed. Inspiration was drawn from the signature print seen throughout the Summer 17  collection. Symbology’s blog reads “One of the signature prints of our summer line is the hibiscus flower, which has a range of meanings across world cultures. In the Pacific Islands it is a sign of hospitality and respect; in Asia it signifies the immortality of love and the invincibility of warriors. In India, where the summer line was made, the hibiscus is associated with the Hindu goddess Kali, who was born from ancient energy. She is a fierce goddess who represents empowerment: she can be both violent and lovingly maternal.”

Hibiscus Flower 17 dropped  early June, and is available now. Treat yourself to some ethical luxe. Swap out office looks your over for the Kimono Maxi Wrap, Beaded Starburst Caftan or Shibori tunic dress. There are so many options – which one’s are getting added to your cart?
