Natural face & body rituals are my favorite home treatments, thanks to Minamul , that now includes dry brushing.
In my world, Sundays are for baths & books while Wednesdays are for a glass of wine and a face mask. Simple treatments that keep my skin soft & glowing tend to bring me peace and keep me refreshed throughout the week. My mom mentioned a practice called dry brushing a while ago, and I’m just now getting around to learning more about it. I ordered a Minamul face & body brush kit from Amazon and figured I’d share my experience with it.
Want a subtle face & body glow. . . get to dry brushing.
By incorporating a 2-3 minute brushing session into your morning beauty regimen daily or if your skin is sensitive a couple of times a week, you will begin to see a subtle renewal. I started dry brushing today as a part of my Sunday self-care process. Remember to be gentle and present while brushing – you don’t want to irritate the skin, merely exfoliate it.
The dry brush practice dates back to ancient Ayurvedic times, and has been spreading through the wellness community for the last few years. One of the biggest praises of the ritual is that it is great for detoxing the lymphatic system, and is said to help reduce cellulite. I’ve listed a few other benefits below.
- Unclogs pores of oil & dirt which allows the skin to absorb essential nutrients
- Renewal of the nerve endings, the gentle strokes are quite relaxing
- Helps to shed dead skin cells thus leaving skin smoother
Sooo you probably want to try it now right. . .
Right, that’s how I was after reading up on it. So like I mentioned earlier, I went and ordered the Minamul face & body brush kit off of Amazon so I could try it out for myself. The kit is a product of a tiny startup, passionate about natural skincare, which is always a plus to me. The kit contained four brushes; 1) Konjac Sponge 2) Full Body Brush 3) Facial Brush 4) Loofah Back Scrubber. Everything you need for a before bath brush session and an invigoration in shower exfoliation experience .
Checkout my unboxing video for a brief description on everything included in the kit. I got excited and tried out the Konjac Sponge, it left my face feeling soft ready to soak in my moisturizer. My back scrubber was great too, I felt pampered from head to toe. After experiencing the pre brush process firsthand – I’ll def be incorporating this kit into my care sessions.
Have you dry brushed, would you want to try the Minamul kit? What do you think about dry brushing your skin in the first place? Share your thoughts below or by tweeting me. Happy Sunday!
