Beauty products, indie brands & melanin muses are clearly 3 of my favorite things. So happy I got  to spend  Sunday with women that feel the same way.Project Beauty Expo was founded by girl boss Brittany Brown, after noticing a lack of diversity in the beauty  industry. She curated an annual event for women of color to come together, shop & support each other in all areas of beauty & wellness. I came across the expo in early Spring, as I was looking for future vending opportunities for Taila.Made that catered to women of color.  I was so impressed and inspired by the event, I bought tickets the day they opened for sale. Ya’ll know I love the sisterhood, any chance I have to support – I do.

Project Beauty Expo 20172

Sunday’s event was phenomenal, so many stylish women passionate about their natural beauty & wellness all in the same space. Well known influencers Lauren Ash, Vic Styles, Lauren Napier & Selma Idris shared their wisdom on pursuing one’s truth & the need for balance.  Each Queen was so candid telling their stories and suggesting ways for all of the beautiful creators to rise. Magic I tell you.

In addition to the powerful panel, attendees were able to sample & shop over 15 black owned indie brands. So many new products to love! Project Beauty Expo gifted us all with the cutest tote & some amazing goodies. Literally was just telling my boyfriend about Farmacy Beauty’s Green Screen sunscreen, BAM, there was one in the bag. Thank God for PJB, it was just the inspiration I needed to finish up this product formulation I have been working on the last few weeks. Can’t wait to share. In the meantime, let’s get to the new beauty +wellness brands you need to check for.
