It’s about to get cold, put up your maxi dresses  &  break out the layers. . .

Just joking, keep out your maxi’s. Chilly temps call for lots of layering .  Winter blues are real, so anytime we get a day or 2 break with warmer temps, I am all the way in there. Last week I lived my best life in my eShakti black & white long-sleeved feather dress. Not sure if you’ve noticed, but I sort of live in dresses. There an easy outfit in one piece, the perfect lazy chic look.

Fall Maxi 2 - HH

Black and white are always a go for this girl. The delicate feather print gives a Bohemian twist which totally attracted me to this piece. If you’re not familiar with eShakti, they create original clothing that can be tailored to your specific needs. This dress initially came in 3/4 sleeves – but its way too cold for all that.  I was able to customize the sleeve length to long, as well as edit the neckline – but I loved the original silhouette.

Last week when the weather was a little warmer & I was able to get away with just the dress and my favorite Lucky ankle boots. If I was to rock it again, I’d def throw a fuzzy solid color cardigan on top to warm it up a bit. Just because it’s freezing, doesn’t mean we can get cute. You just have to be a little more strategic with your outfit equations. Next time you pull a dress out on a cold day, ask yourself these 3 questions.

Could I match this maxi with. . . .

  • A solid or printed tight ?
  • A chunky sweater ?
  • A leather jacket or fur vest?

Once you decide, style your look accordingly. Start off simple, throw in accessories accordingly and own slay sis. These looks will work  on days it’s not ridiculously cold out. What pieces do you use to warm up your favorite dresses during the Fall? Show me on IG, tag your pic with #hautehemisphere & @ me. I’d love to see.

**Thank you eShakti for gifting me with this beautiful dress. All opinions are my own, I only share brands I personally use & believe in. **
